At barely 16, Catherine Bernard from Sprimont is already an internationally renowned artist. Her murals adorn walls across the world.
This summer, Catherine flew to Los Angeles, where she created a giant mural for the Claire Fontaine French school. Quite a challenge for the teenager, as it was the first time she had spent three weeks away from her family.
And the adventure continues: during the World Forum of the French language in Liège, her father, Bruno Bernard, spoke about his daughter’s work. A delegation from a Japanese school has been showing interest in a double project that would see her create a mural in the school and talk to students about her work in French. Catherine has also been contacted by the French Alliance in South Africa for a similar project. Finally, the girl will probably also fly off to Australia soon, which means that her murals will soon be on show in the four corners of the globe.
